Summary
This 2023 Topps Series 1 Roman Anthony Gold Foil Rookie Card presents in Near Mint-Mint+ condition, earning an overall grade of 8.5. The card boasts exceptional qualities across most grading categories, with perfect scores for corners, edges, surface, and print quality. The image is sharp, the colors are vibrant, and the card retains its full original gloss with no visible wear or print defects.
The primary factor limiting a higher grade is the centering. While not severely off-center, the front and back centering are estimated at 62.5/37.5, which falls just outside the strict 60/40 requirement for a Mint 9 grade. However, it is well within the 65/35 requirement for a Near Mint-Mint 8 grade. Given the otherwise flawless condition of the card, the slight centering imperfection results in a strong 8.5 grade, indicating a very high-quality collectible.
