Summary
This Regigigas V (124/172 RR) from the Japanese s12a set represents a true Gem Mint specimen. It survives the cynical NGA inspection by exhibiting perfect centering and a total absence of the common edge-chipping found in modern high-gloss Japanese cards. The card meets the highest standards of preservation and manufacturing precision.
Subgrades
Centering
10
Exceptional 50/50 alignment on both vertical and horizontal axes. The black borders on the front are perfectly equidistant from the card edge, and the reverse blue border maintains strict uniformity.
Corners
10
All four corners are razor-sharp under magnification. No evidence of micro-whitening or pressure points on the reverse corners, which is rare for V-series card stock.
Edges
10
Factory-clean cuts with zero silvering or chipping. The right-side edge, often prone to rough cutting in VSTAR Universe/s12a, is perfectly smooth.
Surface
10
Flawless gloss with no visible print lines, scratches, or dimples. The holofoil pattern is undisturbed by any surface contaminants or factory roller marks.
Print Quality
10
High-definition ink saturation. The text is crisp with no bleeding, and the color registration on the Regigigas artwork is perfectly aligned with the foil layer.
