Summary
This 2020 Darkness Ablaze Tapu Koko (061/189) exhibits elite preservation. While the front presents as a Black Label candidate, the reverse side contains the minor technical flaws—specifically micro-whitening on one corner and a singular edge nick—that necessitate a 9.5 Mint+ grade rather than a Pristine 10.
Subgrades
Centering
9.5
Front centering is exceptional, appearing near 50/50. Reverse shows a negligible shift toward the top-left, well within the 55/45 tolerance for a Gem Mint designation.
Corners
9.5
Corners are structurally sharp. Microscopic whitening is visible on the bottom-right corner of the reverse under magnification, preventing a perfect 10.
Edges
9.5
Edges are clean with no visible silvering on the front. The reverse left edge shows a singular, nearly invisible micro-nick that breaks the factory blue ink.
Surface
9.5
The reverse holo pattern is vibrant with no vertical print lines. A faint, superficial scuff is present on the reverse matte finish, only visible under direct light.
Print Quality
10
Text is crisp with no ink bleeding or registration errors. The color saturation of the Tapu Koko artwork is optimal.
