Summary
A respectable example of a high-demand card. The grade is primarily held back by the characteristic O-Pee-Chee rough-cut edges and a significant top-to-bottom centering shift. Corner wear on the top right prevents a higher technical grade.
Subgrades
Centering
8
Top-to-bottom centering is noticeably heavy toward the bottom, approximately 65/35. Left-to-right is better but still slightly off-center.
Corners
8.5
Top right corner shows visible softening and minor white exposure. Bottom left corner has a slight touch of wear.
Edges
8
Typical O-Pee-Chee rough cut on the right edge. Minor chipping and silvering visible on the top blue border.
Surface
9
Front surface is generally clean, but the back cardstock shows typical brown pulp spotting and a minor smudge near the bottom NHLPA logo.
Print Quality
9
Good registration, though minor print snow is visible in the black jersey area and the yellow nameplate.
