Summary
This 1998 McDonald's Upper Deck Wayne Gretzky Teammates Paul Coffey (T10) is a premier example. While the surface and edges show the most minute factory-level imperfections, the overall eye appeal and structural integrity justify a Mint+ 9.5 grade.
Subgrades
Centering
9.5
Excellent 50/50 alignment on the reverse orange footer. Obverse image is well-framed, though a negligible shift toward the right edge prevents a perfect 10.
Corners
9.5
Extremely sharp. Microscopic white point visible only under magnification on the bottom right rear corner. All other points are factory fresh.
Edges
9.5
Clean cuts throughout. Minor factory burr on the upper right edge of the reverse prevents a Gem Mint designation.
Surface
9.5
High-gloss finish is well-preserved. A single faint hairline scuff is present on the dark background of the obverse, visible only at a specific light angle.
Print Quality
10
Exceptional registration. The gold foil stamping for 'Paul Coffey' and the Upper Deck logo is crisp with no flaking or bleeding.
