Summary
This card suffers from poor centering and significant surface contamination on the reverse. The corners have lost their original sharpness, and the edges show typical period-correct rough cutting. The surface spotting on the top front border is a major detractor.
Subgrades
Centering
9.5
Front centering is exceptional, measuring approximately 50/50. Reverse shows a negligible shift toward the right border, preventing a perfect 10.
Corners
9.5
Top-left corner on reverse exhibits microscopic white chipping visible only under magnification. All other corners remain sharp and structurally sound.
Edges
7.5
Rough factory cut typical of 1989 Topps stock. Visible chipping and minor indentations along the right edge.
Surface
6.5
Multiple surface issues including dark spotting on the top border, significant wax staining on the reverse, and several small indentations on the front image.
Print Quality
8.5
Image clarity is decent but suffers from typical grainy 80s card stock resolution and minor ink overspray on the reverse.
