Summary
This 1994 Leaf Mario Lemieux is a premier example of the set. It narrowly misses a Pristine 10 due to a microscopic corner touch and a minor factory edge burr. The centering is elite for the era.
Subgrades
Centering
10
Perfect 50/50 alignment. The 'Phenoms' banner and bottom text are precisely equidistant from the left and right edges. The top black border is uniform across the horizontal axis.
Corners
10
All four corners exhibit factory-sharp points. No evidence of micro-whitening or pressure points even under magnification. The acetate stock remains perfectly intact at the vertices.
Edges
9.5
Edges are extremely clean for a 1994 product. Minor factory roughness on the right edge (front) prevents a 10.
Surface
9.5
High-gloss finish is well-preserved. A single, faint hairline surface streak is visible on the reverse gold foil section under direct light.
Print Quality
10
Registration is perfect. No print dots or 'snowing' in the dark black areas of the jersey or background.
