Summary
This 1991 Score Mario Lemieux #316 is a premier example of the set. While the centering and print clarity are virtually flawless, the presence of a singular micro-fleck on one corner and a minor factory edge burr restricts the grade to a 9.5 MINT+ rather than a Pristine 10.
Subgrades
Centering
10
Exceptional 50/50 alignment on both axes. The white borders are perfectly symmetrical from left-to-right and top-to-bottom, maintaining the integrity of the SP design elements.
Corners
10
All four corners are razor-sharp under magnification. No evidence of fraying or pressure points, even on the high-contrast dark blue geometric sections.
Edges
9.5
Edges are remarkably clean for 1991 Score stock. A single, nearly invisible factory burr is noted on the upper right-hand rail of the reverse side.
Surface
9.5
High-gloss finish is preserved with no visible scratches or wax stains. A tiny, singular print dot is located in the white border area near the top-right corner, typical of the era's production.
Print Quality
10
Registration is perfect. The text on the Conn Smythe Trophy and the yellow nameplate is crisp with no bleeding or ink splatter.
