Summary
This 1987 Fleer Barry Bonds rookie card presents in Near Mint-Mint+ condition, earning an overall grade of 8.5. The card boasts exceptional corners, edges, surface, and print quality, all of which are indicative of a Mint-level card. The image is sharp, colors are vibrant, and the card retains its original gloss with no significant surface flaws.
The primary factor preventing a higher grade is the centering. While the front centering is quite good at approximately 60/40, the back of the card shows more significant off-centering, estimated at 65/35. According to professional grading standards, a Mint 9 requires 90/10 centering on the back, which this card does not meet. Despite this, the card is a very strong example for its grade, with its other attributes pushing it well beyond a typical Near Mint-Mint 8.
